Are you a member of the Southern Hot Boats? I think a bunch of the members are in NC and SC. I'm told that they may try to get together on Smith Mountain Lake VA.this summer. If so we will get to shake hands. Al I I talked to a man last year who still builds Sleekcrafts from the 1970's molds. We drug a 1970's Sleekcraft Kauai O/B out of the woodds last fall. I was looking for information on Sleekcraft boats when I ran across his name and number. I no longer have it but i'm sure it is floating around one the site. He was nice and really fun to talk with. As I remember he worked for Bruce Necher when the company was still in CAL before they moved to AZ. He told me how his old Sleek was destroyed by tornado and how it used to pull 10 skiers in a water show. Good luck finging the project boat I just got a 1978 CVX20 to start on. My first jet was a Sleek Craft.
With a Ford boss 429

I know were one is with a V-drive , has a built BBC with a TH400 transmission. And that is neet!
And it's mint!

I don't think so but I do know that he is lives in Canada and the molds are in Cal.

OK gang I found the information I was looking for on the Skeekcraft builder. The man's name is Roy Lewis. He lives in Stouffville Ontario Canada. He is still building the Sleekcraft SST hulls . That may be the only style hull that he is building but i'm not sure. You will need to talk to him about that. His number is 905-640-1836.

I did a lot of digging when I got my Sleek Craft. This is what I turned up.

Sleekcraft was built in Southern California from the early '70s to the mid-'80s. At that time, Sleekcraft was sold, and in being sold, the new owners were unable to make an impact on the market, so they, more or less, closed the doors to Sleekcraft. Since then, there has been a reemergence of Sleekcraft, and the boats are now being built in Phoenix, Arizona, under the Sleekcraft name.

Sleekcraft- Bruce Nesher, Bruce passed away earlyer this year (2000), the rebel was 18ft and real wide, the sportster was a southwind copy with a different deck, the rebel was a better boat, I won the parker 9 hr in 1975 and the Elsonore 250 1975 in a sleekcraft rebel, Jim Brock

I am the proud owner of the sleekcraft tunnel molds. we build both v bottom gn v-drive or jet and 20' tunnel in v drive, jet or outboard. Hulls available bare to complete. Finneys Plastic , Lake Havasu City (Rodger Finney)
I talked to Finney on the phone.

The Sleek Craft Aristocrat and the SST have the same hull. The difference is the deck.
