ballistic
Props work well but they are not very durable due to the fact that they are really thin. Repairing them is a nightmare. It all depends on where you boat shallow water etc. Just something to think about

I have owned, modified and ran 4 and 3 blade ballistics, the 4 blade ran ok out of the box, good lift etc. the 3 blade, and every one i know has had to add cup to the tips to get the lift they were looking for but have seen them also through a blade, normally causing damage to the anticavition plate.

They were on sale real cheap what, two years ago? Some people here bought them for second props, mostly the 4 blades and were running some high speeds with them. Said they worked ok on some hulls but nothing special.

for 299.00 new they make OK fissin props... not a good performance prop... gimmicky aluminum replacement for guppies... buy a real prop.. and keep the ballistic as a get back to the dock when something brakes on your primary.. they do however run good on crownlines and searays..
4-16-2014. 25 years old today... the fishin boat doesnt look to bad for a classic does she
things that were are no longer as they are today...

Exactly! They are very good props, with nice price and amazing performance. Specially designed for V6 outboards. But at the same time are very thin and quite fragile. If you use to shout the props out of the water in rough, it’s not your propeller.
Also it can be a little difficult to find the right stern lift if you are using long pitch and nosecones; for that just go ahead with choppers or cleavers.
Ballistic is just a nice propeller to find best top end with no loosing of acceleration but for boats a bit less performance. It means, standard lower units, ect,,

Just put one on my fishin boat. Hoping for more lift than the Tempest.
