Having played around extensively on the dyno with a 650hp 428 pontiac, apples to oranges I know. Nothing worked better than a mix of race fuel and normal gasoline. The **** that comes out of a little plastic bottle is a serious crap shoot.

You can do a search on octane booster and get all the rants and raves you could ever ask for. The only thing some people swear by is TK7. Look it up under the search function.

Two strokes dont seem to like it much, my feeling is the oil affects it. Much safer to run a mix of pump and race fuel

I haven't tried the TK7 personally, just read about it here on S&F. I just stick with AV gas. Once you get past the different look/color on the plugs/heads, it works fine.

Does anyone know of a good octane booster that will mix with oil? I am limited to runs that I can make it back to the ramp without refueling. I can carry 120 gallons, but even that will not carry me through some of the runs. The marinas on the ocean only have 87, my motors will pop with anything less than 91.

Never tried it with 2-stroke, but I have good results with lucas octane booster in my '65 plymouth, mildly built 440 w/ a lot of timing.

I would use race fuel mixed with pump gas , just enough to get you above 91 octane , thats the safest way
octane boosters( if they really work ) wont put you from 87 to 91 octane ,
I dont think its worth risking the engine for something you'r not 100 percent
just my opinion
