Boat in Hooters St. Louis
I saw an outboard tunnel hull hanging in the Hooters St. Louis. It looked really cool (and fast). Does anyone know the history of that one? Thanks. Smitty

leave it hang, good for interest. Parker you need to see if your good buddy Mike Mullins has any interest in letting any of us commoners get a "special" price on a "Silverwing", and help him him promote them , I'd be interested in a bare hull layed up to my specs. (I'll do a search and post a pic of one named "Purple Haze") missed buying her complete for 20k. fun out
FOUND HER !!! check this sweet little hunny out http://www.screamandfly.com/gallery/...erwing&cat=502
would like a shot at making one mine.Last edited by mr fun; 08-28-2014 at 07:53 PM.

A story that will make you sick.....My brother.... Tripps bought Dick O days Ron Jones KT. Being a Chevy man he wanted the 427 and alummming heads. I think he paid $2500.for it. He traded the boat for another KT. The guy that bought the Jones let it rot away. Then I bought the # 2 speddy From the guy. My brother ran the other kt in NY with a 468bb with a speedmaster. Then put that drive in a 28 foot Magnum cruser and GAVE AWAY the KT.........IT was Blue last see..........

The blue boat was the same boat in the pic from powerboat mg,I had a 468 chevy in it i ran a 14x26 cleaver with a 1 to133 gear
,spun 6000 going 90 in 1982,I had nitrous on it and it would go 7000 when hit button wish I kept it even deck was wood but bottom was glass,it was well built, handled rough water pretty good. Of course I had to put Norskogs boat in the post .I went to his place in cali in 1988 and he gave us the tour of the place pretty cool

A guy in Hawaii by the name of Hiram Fong Jr ran a 21' Molinari twin he that he converted to an injected V8 and a Mercruiser racing stern drive. Big yellow thing. Fast when it ran but they had so much trouble getting the thing to run I only saw a few good races with it. I wish I had some pics of that boat. Really looked cool. Typical Molinari it rode bow high. At the time Dave Packer was running the fastest tunnel outboards in Hawaii. Some of you really old guys may have known him or heard of him. He was a regular at Havasu back in the day. Hiram and Dave had a few good match races. A high school kid, Steven Soon had a single Merc stacker on a Kober tunnel that had some great races with Dave also. The single vs the twin. Good days way back when!
