I noticed that right away. 30 years ago I worked a marina that had a paint shop that did work like that too.

Boats OMC had built for their racing team or just boats running X & GT-115's? There were a bunch of both. Lots of pictures on BRF where Ron Hill and Jimbo McConnell post

    [A year later...the 115's appeared.

George Linder and I ran them for a season.....before returning to Merc's.

    T2x[/QUOTE]

Even Doc Magoon jumped ship---ran this 3 engine OMC in 1969---after a poor season returned in 1970 with the 32' Cary/Cigarette with 4 'Super BP's'---

Hi Gene - Who is in the OMC boat with Bob? Looks like the Doc is getting a kiss in the next pic while you do the work and Odell looks on from the dock. Will we see you in Jupiter in October? - Steve

There's video footage of X-115's & GT-115's at the Gold Coast 225 Marathon, held at Miami Marine Stadium in early 1969, at 1:37-2:45 of Video- "Title Drive" on this page.I believe this to be the last race OMC used the X-115's & GT-115s before Charlie Strang unleashed the new Stranglers & Stingers on Mercury!
