What was his time and speed? Didn't say on the video. Can't be to impressive otherwise he would have shown it.

Cool video.....but WTF is that lady doing standing in front of the car during the burnout? Out of all of the times I've dragraced, or watched drad races...I've never seen anyone doing that. I've seen people get out in front of a pro-street car to guide it straight back after the burnout.....but nobody should be standing in front of the car during the burnout. Stupid girl.

I think she is guiding him into the burnout blocks. That's what we usually do but not from in front of the car. It's usually from the side.

Yep....if that car hooked and he didn't get on the brakes fast enough....she would get nailed.

Yea, I thought the same thing, what a dopey chick.

It said the car ran low 10s on the LS1 forums. Just watching that video you know it was a good run.

He needs to learn how to take his eye off his big ol' girlfriend and keep his eye on the lights. I'd like to see his reaction time, seemed pretty damn slow to me.

the fat girl in front of the car is Amber, Joe (the driver's) wife. That car was running a 383 LSX motor when that video was made, they claimed it as a stock short block heads/cam motor. I built the motor that was in it at the time. That car has gone some 9.20s now, they supposedly have a new setup and are shooting for 8s but keep breaking parts.

Pops a wheelie and runs 10s, I'm sure all the critics have faster cars.

    I think it's a cool vid.

Man people will rag on anything around here.

that same car runs WAYYYYY bottom 9s now if not 8s, all with a factory style cylinder head and transmission. I guarantee noone on this board can claim the same... not even me and I've gone mid 8s with an LSx Z28.

It's klinda like a bunch of fat beer bellied guys sitting around the TV criticizing the football player when they couldn't even run 20 yds without going into cardiac arrest.
