    1968 Bp Mid

    FINALLY AFTER A LONG ORDEAL, I RECEIVED MY 1968 BP MID AND LOWER. IT IS COMPLETE BUT NEEDS GONE THRU. IT HAS BEEN SITTING A LONG, LONG TIME! SHOULD BE FUN GOING THRU THIS ONE!

    WOW .... what in heck is that??? ... how did they get the gearcase so tiny???

    where dd you get it, we ran 4 of those mids and gearcases on a pacemaker 202'in the late 60's

    Its a BP lower. The BP's were triple vertical shaft(pinion), the SpeedMaster's were dual shaft(pinion) gearcases.

    Does it have the 'steady rest' mod? Check for an 'X' stamped on the gear case---

    Wow you guys are responding to a 9 year old thread. I've had a bunch of this old BP and super BP stuff over the years. Still have a lot of it. That particular mid I got out of the high desert in California. Funny the drain plug was out of it and the whole lower was full of sand.

    You got me, Barry---but still a lot of interest for a motor that is nearly 50 years old!!

    Question? Have you located any replacement parts for the BP in the past 9 years???
