Sylvia Hitchcock’s family On the hardware store on Red Road in South Miami back in the 60s and 70s we mid-level teenagers are used to go in there and buy $.10 worth of nuts and bolts just to have her wait on us. If memory serves me correctly she was absolutely stunning. But do a 13-year-old no anything at all how long long time ago

I believe the police academy movies are produced by one of the west brothers I can’t remember which one Bill or Don maybe. One of them used to be a boat hauler out of the micro factory for several years and the other one was the producer out of California by way of South Florida. Again my memory may be totally off button those movies are some of the funniest ever made. The actor was Fred something. Can’t remember his name

Don West was the UPM. I also worked with him on Cop and a half with Burt Reynolds. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0922039/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_1

Some estimate the Miami F1 Grand Prix will generate more revenue into the greater Miami area, than the previous Super Bowl.

But why did these wonderful venues—like the RACE OF CHAMPIONS only last for one event??

Charlie Dad said the prop should work. It'll at least drop the rpm's a thousand or so.
We all live in Jacksonville now. Mom and Dada are fine. Living the dream!

Vagabond Motel.
This was one of the motels the Mercury Lake X army stayed at.
In the 1960's, I remember in my youth swimming in the motel's pool. The Merc guys and their families were there for a Miami Marine Stadium race.
How many times did the Lake X group stay at this motel, I do not recall.

YesYes my son Patrick finally got the test the boat the other day and your dad is exactly spot on it drop the RPM from 7000 to 6000 and the mileage is still around 70.Please Give your dad and your mom my best and you have a good time and stay safe too. Maybe I’ll run into new people at OFF In Tavares Or one of the other places they have the meetings for the old racers.

The post of the pictures of the vagabond is a great memory of Biscayne Blvd Back in the day that Was Main St., Miami for a lot of us kids growing up. Just around the corner was Mike Gordon‘s restaurant and my uncle Andy’s liquor store and bar called the el Toro on 79th St. got to travel with Mike Gordon and helping towards race boat the different races when Jack Stuteville was driving for him. Speaking of which I hear that Jack is hospice somewhere up near Saint Augustine everyone say a prayer for him

The 1960's TV show Flipper brought a lot of south of Miami water-scenes into many American homes, including ours.
Some of the dolphins portraying Flipper came from the Miami Seaquarium.
