http:// He just sat the 468 down in it last weekend and it looks totally SICK!
This will be my ride for the summer because I'm sure the CVX20 won't get done this year.

Now Your Talking! She's A Beauty.have Fun ,but Be Careful.remember Hydros Do Not Turn Well.what Gears Are In The V-drive & What Prop Do Tou Have?

Hondo V-Drive
I'm not sue about the gears? I know it's an in and out 1 speed set up. The hull has a really small fixed trim tab, not an adjustable plate. That seems strange because most every V-Drive I've see had an adjustable plate. The prop was custom built but looks to be steel not bronze? I will get the name and numbers stamped on it and post them. Maby you can tell us some about it? We know the boat came out of AZ and was raced some. It's a ski racer, has the rearward jump seats with the cool arm rest and beer holders that cover the drive shaft tunnel. We are totally new to V-Drives and the only thing we know for sure about this boat is that it's gonna be hard as hell to load, easy to sink and easy to wreck!!
Sounds cool to us!LOL - LOLLast edited by WICKEDRISTER; 02-25-2008 at 10:49 PM.

My parents have spent a lot of winters camped out in AZ on the river, watching those ski races. Sounds cool hope I can check it out some day. I think they run around 70mph he thought....but it really just looks like an excuse for those guys to run the boats.

OK I got some info from Scott on the V-Drive. It's has 10 deg 1 speed Casale gear box with unknow gears. He was told they are still stock. The prop is a Menkens 580 11 1/2" 3 blade steel. This is all greek to me so any info on this prop would be cool.
Thanks!
(ps) I'm thinking it's gonna run way faster than (70)Last edited by WICKEDRISTER; 02-27-2008 at 09:24 PM.

Hondo V-drive
Scott got the 468 sat down in the Hondo last week. It's starting to come together now and should be all ready to rock this summer. http://

Yeah but the skiers get tired too fast when you go way up the river much over 70mph, was the idea I got.

My Dad would camp out right on the river in Yuma and watch them. You have to keep the skier up for the whole course or you lose . So they could not go too fast. He said they went a ways up the river and back and skier would get tired by the end.

Sounds cool but I think it was before my time. Wonder if they still do that kind of racing now days? Would like to see some old footage. Think I will search for some over on YouTube.
