Has any one of you ever replaced the two aluminum pipes on the back of the CVX 20? I am working on my boat and one is bent.

That sucks! this has been an interesting thread. i just purchased my first jet which happens to be this exact boat. I'm getting ready to pull the motor to do some glass work in the engine bay. Can anyone give me some tips on this. It doesn't look all that hard but any help would be great. Looks like it has two motor mounts on the side of the 460. Then looks like somehow i have to disconnect from the pump. Right? Any write-ups on this someone can link me to?

CVX20 & E Pump
This boat needs a new home and I hate to separate the pump and the hull. A CVX20 jet is just firewood without the pump. I know that E pumps are a lil hard to find but I really want to sell it as a package. The pump will need a new reverse bucket or a new rudder mount flange fabed up, other than that everything is brand new. It comes with a new HTP ride plate and shoe kit, a CP performance loader and bolt kit as wall as a new Jet boat Performance Billet Bowl suffer kit. Hell pump alone is worth about 9 hundred bucks. Will take $800 for everything Please PM me if you have any questions.

Sounds like you have a 3 point mount and if so the bell housing will clamp onto the pump housing for the 3rd mounting point. My CVX20 was so damn trashed when I got it I couldn't tell you where the mounts were LOL! I was going to run stringer mount motor plate with a BBC. Eather way the the drive shaft or H -Bar coupler will bolt to the flax plate with a PTO coupler and the yoke of the H bar coupler will slide down over the splines of the pump shaft. Best of luck, post some pics!

$800 Project Boat CVX20
Ok gang,
Bring a roll back over or some tools to put the trailer back together, I will be happy to help you. Take this boat off my hands, your $800 gets you a CVX20 shell with new stringers, engine hatch with 5" cowl scoop frenched in, flat bar scoop grill and cowl induction emblems. Firewall is cut and sized. Comes with an oak dash plate, old school bucket seat shells and factory seat mounts, rub rail hardware, nose cap, grab bar, windshield struts, gas fill, gas vent, 2 pull up cleats, stainless air vents, BBC logs and risers with 4" stainless tips and flappers. The pump is totally rebuilt inside and out but needs a reverse bucket. I have 99% of the E-pump outside hardware and the epoxy to reinstall it. You get 2 ride plates, one stock and one high performance. A performance rideplate shoe, loader with bolt kit and a bowl stuffer. Has the jet-o-vator but no shifter. Have 4 new ties and rims with 2 spare tires, trailer needs put back together but I do have the axles with bearing buddies and leaf springs. Springs are rough from salt water but I pulled it 6 hours at 70 mph with no poblems. I have the u-bolts that were broken when the trailer was taken apart and all the lug studs. Have a light kit and a new trailer jack but trailer has no wench and no bow receiver. I put foam on the front tower and wenched it down snug to pull it home. Boat comes with a Hot foot, the forward reverse lever, a custom air cleaner with K&N element for Holly carb, steering helm and a nice custom steering wheel. I have every stainless bolt that came out of the boat and have replaced each and every bolt that was bad also have the center console. You can part this stuff out and get yout investment back 3 or 4 times over. If I had my way someone would finish it but do with it what you want. I have no title for boat or trailer but do have a bill of sales from when I got it and the name and address of the last known regestered owner from 1990. Just finished the new project and ran it for the first time this past weekend. Had a blast with it, it runs good and looks cool. I'm burnt out on boat repairs for now, took me 3 years of collecting parts to get one up and running. Just want to take it easy and enjoy the new boat for a few seasons. Would also like to see the grass start to grow back where the CVX20 is resting LOL!
A few pics of the 79 Sterling I just got finished up

What were those bucket seats?
Any thoughts on how to make them?
I need a set for my current project.
