Mud or sand in low water pickup nosecone

How much trouble have you guys had clogging your low water pickup nosecones with sand and or mud??

That's a common problem with beaching , or running the flats. It's always good practice to shut down before.............and glide up to shore & wade out, before starting back up , sounds like a PITA, better safe than sorry.
Now it sounds to me like you need to backflush your system to make sure, & check your poppet valves as well...... it's a simple task that is commonly overlooked inexpensive in parts, but can cost you dearly, it did me once & I assure you never again if I can help it. Good luck! Peace! FIG

Like I'm sopposed to believe that!.................Man last time Farrah came over for drinks..........by the way, she don't look like that no more......... she told me you beached your boat like a pilot whale and you had to become a member of seatow so they come drag you off .....the beach........LOL........

I have done it enough i keep a torx driver in the boat. Fast fig u want a 3 cyl omc for the sst? have 2, 15 inch 3 cyl omcs in the garage i need to get rid of.Dave

Nope, in fact I haven't installed the nosecone yet. I've got a Bob's cone, but been having second thoughts about installing it

Alot of the lakes around here are pretty shallow in places, and every now and then I like to see how close I can get the boat to the tent
