Tony, looking at a boat with a damaged ecu ( its a cdi ) and I want to check the compression on the motor but it wont spin over even with a new battery. tried it with the ecu off of the motor andplugged up. Is this function controled by the ecu or its it sound like a solenoid problem. It will spin over if you cross the solenoid with a screwdriver. Thanks for the info. Looking forward to my new ACU!

Bad solenoid or bad key switch.

Red blinking light ?
Just doing a little fine tuning on a Bridgeport EFI with an ACU box.
Noticed a red blinking light inside the ACU while the engine was running, while tuning it.
What does that mean ? Good or bad. I am having an issue with a mis, and poor idle conditions. Does the red blinking light mean the ACU has a problem, or can I rule that out?
Thanks,

We have run the ACU on several motors for customers, and presently have 2 on motors of our own,a modded Bridgeport and a 280 with 260 electrics. They run better,start-idle-transition better, and on the Bridgeport there is a huge(30%?)possibly fuel economy improvement.Never ran the 280/260 with a merc box, went with the ACU from the getgo...it idles like a fishing motor and screams.I don't think you'll be disappointed,Chris

Blinking is normal when powered up. I have a 6 year old pcu on my 280 and a ACU that I run Dsra pro stock with. Have a few of these.

I have a 96 200 Mariner EFI that has some ECU issues, would this be a good product for a stock outboard?
I tried to PM Tony but couldnt... I have some other questions about my current ECU problems too.
