    Thumbs up

Hi everyone, well Reunion Regatta 2006 is over. But wow, what a day.
This year we had 25 Switzers show up,sorry to say none of the Wings
were there, but a great turn out though. We also had a couple of
other boats show too. We ended up having 13 entries in the River Run
which raised 450.00 for the widow of Sgt. Joe Jones of the Will
County Sheriff's Police who died suddenly of a heart attack about 4
weeks ago. Mrs. Jones herself suffers from advanced MS. I would like
to deeply thank everyone who entered the run and thoses who just
donated. All the winners donated the winnings to Mrs. Jones and Joe
Ball from Dragonmasters Outboards in Oak Lawn donated $100.00
himself. This is what I have seen all my life, boaters always
getting together for a good cause and coming through when needed.

Bob,this is the legacy that you and boat builders like Jack Lewis
and the other have instilled upon us,that we stick toegther and help
out someone in need. This is why were together here on this site to
draw on the many great memories that boats like yours have brought
to us,linking us together as a family and never really knowing it
till one of us needs help from our adopted family.

The James Bond vehicles that Doug Redenous of the Ian Flemming
Foundation donated as displays went over great, and I would like to
thank Max Valdez and the Coachmen Muscle Car Club for their displays
    too.

Next years Reunion Regatta is set for the 3rd friday & saturday
of July. The place is yet to be determined, but don't worry everyone
April & I won't fail to find us a nice one.

The river run will be on a different weekend than the Switzer
Reunion, probably the next Saturday, this I will discuss with the
committee that I will form from the River Rats of my area. We really
had a good time and they want to do it again donating it to a
    Charitable Cause.

Again thanks everyone who came, oh by the way,Doug Randolph of
Macies, told me that he estimated that about 250 people came that
    day.
