    Checkmate Enchanter

    anybody ever had one. How was Checkmates workman ship in 1987 ?
    Yes, it's an inboard.. But, you guys have been around..

    Checkmate's quality is top notch. Ive had quite a few. My current 1987 Sportfire is the best built boat Ive ever owned.
    The enchanter is a great boat too, Ive never owned one but I know those who do. Check out www.checkmate-boats.com and youll find out anything youll ever need to know about checkmates and boating in general

    I had an outboard Enchanter, thats in the sig just below. Awesome boat, I loved that boat. could really take a beating too, solid construction.

    I had a 87 I/O. Nice boat but it chined walked a lot. Could have been due to my prop, a clever. Anyway the guy I sold it to put a extension on the out drive and picked up about 3 or 4 mph. Check out the thread on the bow foam on the Checkmate site, the stuff gets water logged.
