ANy old car collectors out thee need some advice
I have a chance to buy a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner 440 4speed with the the factory airscoop and air intake. Car has been been setting and has som rust around the windows. Floorpans quaters trunk etc seem to be good. Car will run with some clean up and maintance. Car is currently yellow with the black strip . Bumpers are decent need recromed but not rusted up. Car definatly needs restored. Could be driven with a few things done. to it. Car also has the center post between the drivers window and back window. My question is anybody out there familiar with this model and can you educate me on it as far as its collectablility etc. I know some but not alot. I know about the Superbird but is this car worth the effort.

I not an exspert on those cars, but any Big block 4 speed Mopar has a price.
Mopars seem to be the hot ticket for collecting over the last 5 years and still going strong.
One thing is for sure, a 440, 4 speed in the biggest of cars still will hall the mail!!!

long story but bottomline car belongs to my ant. I tried to buy it some time ago and her new husband would not let her but for some reason he has changed his mine. Car probably will belong to me by the weekend. He is the second owner and has the original green title. In case I did not mention it has the the factory air grabber and apparently he claims the car was special ordered with the 440 wich was the only way you could get it. I dont know what in the hell I am going to do with cause i got one car collecting dust now but i guess we will see.

If nothing else, buy it and "turn it." Just don't let the relatives know what you make on it or they'll be pissed for life. Been there. Done that.

If you don't want it I'll drive up and buy it sight unseen. Old Mopars are all rust buckets in need of complete resto but a 70 Road Runner in any condition is a keeper no doubt!

I'd like to take a look at it also if you decide to turn it.

I bought a 70 Roadrunner last year. It is an original un-restored f-8 In-Violet (Plum Crazy) car with 64,000 miles on it. You don't even want to know what I paid for it.
For $3500.00, I'll give you a thousand bucks to let me buy your Aunt's car...sight unseen!
I've seen the radiator's like the one in mine (#956) for over $2000.00, and "rusted out hulk" body shells with no floor sell for $5000.00
Grab the car up and worry about what to do with it later! The Reverend, (Cedar Machine Service on Facebook)

Don't let selling the Impala stand between you and the Mopar.
That's a deal.
Of course restoration is stupid expensive. Your best option would be to flip the car.

Congress should pass a Muscle car protection act!
