Evinrude Etec Help
HI ALL,
THIS IS MY FIRST BLOG MESSAGE AND I AM LOOKING FOR SOME HELP
WE HAVE JUST FITTED TWO 115Hp ETECS TO OUR RESCUE BOAT, OUR DEALER IS MILES AWAY IN ANOTHER TOWN AND I AM HAVING DIFFICULTY IN GETTING AHOLD OF HIM
THEY FITTED TWO FUEL FLOW UNITS " LITTLE BLACK BOX ON FUEL LINE" WITH THREE WIRE COMING OUT. THESE WERE CONNECTED TO THE DIAL IN THE FRONT, HOWEVER WE GET NO READING ON FUEL CONSUMPTION OR FLOW. INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED

thats cause E-Tecs dont burn anything, hook that up to my looper then it'll work!
just kiddin i m no pro but i would check connections to the little black boxes and if the wires are color coded make sure they are connected correctly... start with the simple stuff!
and welcome to the board!

hey danielnsri.
also another thing to check wit those fuel transducers for the I-COMMAND gauges, if the wiring checks out ok .
make sure the transducer has a filter fitted before the fuel goes through it.
it only takes the smallest amount of debris to get stuck in the little turbine wheel to stop it turning ( thus no reading ).

Well Lads All The Wiring Checks Out, We Have Huge Fuel Filters Installed, But This Weekend I Will Flush The Transducers. I Am Worried About The Gauges I Don't Think They Were Programmed Correctly For The Motors. I Have Read The Manual Cover To Cover And Will Play Around With The Settings. " This Won't Cause Any Problems With The Motors Will It.
Thanks For Help So Far
