Starts but does not keep running

Hi all...this forum stuff is new to me ,so here I go. I am having problems with my 96 Regal Rush jet boat. It has a 120 xr oil injection sport jet engine by mercury marine. It starts all the time.. but shuts off after a few seconds. I have tried a few things to fix the problem.....gently tapping the carbs, checking the mesh fuel filter,taking off the fuel pump cover/ pressure plates and examining. Now wndering where to go from here.

Does the primer bulb get soft when it dies? You might try squeezing the primer bulb to keep it going. If this works check the diaphram fuel pump.
