SVT + Shelby = 2007 GT500
2007 Shelby GT500
These should be arriving in dealerships in Aug/Sept of 2006:

5.4L Blown 475 HP and only GOD know how much torque in a 6spd. And this is RATED HP...I wonder what the actual power will be - even with the new changes in the rating system with all accessories - 500?Disclaimer: Everything I post is just my .02, and should be take only as opinion. These opinions tend to be notoriously WRONG, and any that are correct, can only be attributed to my being dropped on my head as a small child - repeatedly.

It should be a pretty bad car but the SVT part is history. They kept the badge but the SVT(SPECIAL VEHICLE TEAM)is nolonger. That means no more Cobras or Lightnings in the near future. All the exec's jumped ship.

SVT is alive and well...just different.
Any dealer can sell SVT products now. The GT is a SVT product. And the "Shelby" even has SVT badges on the wheels.
The "Shelby is a SVT vehicle and replaces the "Cobra" lineup where it came from.
The Adrenaline is a short time replacement for the Lightning and should be out for next year.Last edited by W. Tripp; 04-10-2006 at 06:42 PM.

I've talked to a couple people that say there is no way you will buy one near sticker. Still can't get a plain old V8 stang here yet unless you are on a list, but there are thousands of V6s with ground effects glued all over them littering the dealer's yards.
Some say just get a V8 and use one of these: http://www.themustangnews.com/tech/st-1205_rshchg.htm

Ford GT
Wasn't just a two year build planned??
I think that they wanted to only build so many to keep the value up.
our local Ford Dealer has two and one just sold.
Man I'm with you Mike I want one!!!

Wayne ,do a search.SVT is done and so is the Adrenaline.I know it still has the badges because they developed the car but SVT has since colapsed.I had the entire article saved and now I cant find it of course.
