I loved feeling the accelaration of that thing.
I can tell some funny stories about that boat.

Now Boys.............
Seriously I agree with some of the negative jet drive comments.
A stock 455 mounted in a heavy V bottom boat is not going to set the world on fire. You just have to consider it for what it is. A 30+ year old inexpensive boat that can get you around and still have some fun. Someone could be on the water for 4 or 5k, what would he find in an OB for that?
As far as labeling ALL jets that way is way off the same as if I labeled all outboards the same as the 20 hp evinrude in my pontoon boat. A hard starting , rough running, unreliable smoky POS.
I've got lots of friends with OB's and I would certainly say that ON THE LAKE there are a lot more OB's that go 100+ than jets.
There are also a whole lot more jetboats that run in the 8's at the drags than there are OB's.

If I could find a Jet boat like I had, and could aford it I would buy it.
As for as sking behind one, that was about all I did with mine.
Also in the world on high speed water sking they use jet boats.
1bad, your a great guy, I met you at Bling. But in a soft voice I'm telling you.
Your personal attacks on people need to stop. You are not being very smart doing it. You have a lot to offer, but the balance of your negative imput it not welcome. Say your piece, if someone does not agree then OK.
But you do sound like a 16 year old kid who needs to get laid!
You can get mad, get pissed, or take what I'm saying in a positive maner.
Now we e-mail a lot, talk a lot of trash, have fun. But you need to be a positive not a negative.
Your move! Be a man! Or a little boy!

Just a note, a friend of mine had a sleek craft Jet Boat with a drop nozzle.
We could not ski behind it.
I had a adjustable tilt nozzle, so we could do what ever it took.
But I would tilt it up and blow someone of thier ski's!
Funny as ****!
Boat was fun to spin out.“The bitterness of poor quality & service remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”
