This sh-- has driven many people away from this site. Chase away all the decent people, and bring in the buzzards. Both of you, quit it.

I know thi is an Old thread but,
Have you ever started your jet boat and suddenly everyones eyes are on your boat?
Or Blow past the shore with a 20-30ft rooster tail?
O/B's sound like a go cart on steriods. A motor should be in the boat not attached to it!
Not a Big O/B Fan myslef, it always looks like compsation for something
I'm not trying to start any wars, to each his own. Just Give us Jet guys a voice!

PS- I forgot how much of a dickhead 150isajoke is, thanks for bringing the thread back. Glad he's "gone", hopefully he got lead poisoning or something.> Stainless steel Merc cowling plates - $110 shipped TYD - LINK <

This is a Jet section not O/B! Plus I'm waiting for the HotBoat Forums to open back up.
Yea like I tried to sink my boat on purpose!

I heard hotboat members are like their boats. Make alot of noise, but are slow to get up and can only run 1/8th of the time without blowing up.

dang yall both are boats.why try and judge another mans idea of boats.
cant we all get along? Im the proud owner of both!!
I tell ya what when I want to run top end I run my o/b.
when I want to get there or drag I run my jet.
yea I know ya can drag the o/b as well.and there are some very fast o/b.
but ya average o/b on the lake with out NOS in the drag race will never run with my jet.but this is not ya average chicken s--- jet.
and I will run the 1/4 any day of the week.
but yes they do like to run them 800 to 900 ft. and with the NOS its gonna do it in 8.70

RLP, reminds me when a Ford guy comes over on a GM site and ask what engine and gets all bent because we say we like something different.

just marine manifolds are gonna cost BIG BUCKS plus accessories, hope ya got deep pockets. those jets burn gas like its goin out of style, and terrible for skiing. good luck anyways.... a car engine is not a marine engine. built with different clearances to run cold, diff water pump, diff charging system diff distributor, starter, and on and on. dont forget diff camshaft, lifters too.

I had a 15ft bass boat and my buddy had the same set up jet boat. Mild 455 built Berkley w/trim etc. My 115 v3 jonnyrude tan side by side with him with my fishing partner n boat. I told him if u roll out of the boat I'll pass his ass haha. By the way that boat run 60. He sold it rite after that. He thought it should had ate me alive , anyway. Pretty sure u can use any Pontiac motor 350 rocket or whatever. I think they all have same bolt pattern on bell housing. Jet boats good for show while throwing huge rooster tail but that's it. Theres 3 that play regularly here and I've out ran everyone of them so far , they got triple or more invested compared to my merc. Jets strong oitnof the hole but u cant have ur cake and eat it to , strong down low weak up top weak down low strong up top , jets always loose it on top
