    problems with paint adhersion

ok question for the paint gurus.. I used PPG primer recommended to me by the gentleman at PPG to use on my boat.. and for the most part is is fine except on some areas where when I spray the top coat the top coat turns into a wrinkled nasty gooey mess.. after it sets I have to sand it down to remove the affected areas and re prime and repaint.. what am I doing wrong, I wetsand with 400 and 600 grit between each spray coat. and clean the surface each time with the cleaners also recommended by the PPG salesman and all products are of same line same series so all match

it acts as if the topcoat is not adhering to the primer coat... so what do i do to fix it so it doesnt do it again...

4-16-2014. 25 years old today... the fishin boat doesnt look to bad for a classic does she

things that were are no longer as they are today...

What are you using for a topcoat? first NEVER NEVER use regular automotive primers for boats. Your asking for nothing but problems.

As long as they are catalyzed urethane or epoxy they work great.
Non catalyzed primers aren't worth a sh*t for anything
