Thumbs up Spring Vector Rec-core Special, Limited Time Offer!

After spending the last six months, grinding glass, grinding/scraping rotted core, grinding more glass, mixing resin, laying cloth, laying mat, grinding more glass, well you get the idea.
Anyhow, I have decided that since I have gotten so good at this, I am going to hang out my shingle and go into business re-coring boats.
Not just any boats, but specifically, VECTOR's!
I have found so many tricks and short cuts that I figure I can make good money on this, and save you rotted core Vector owners some cash too.
So for the limited time of the next 30 days I will re-core any Vector for the low, low price of $150,000.
Three easy payments of $50K are due in that 30 day period before work is started.
With my "Sream" lining of the process's I have gotten my labor down to 102,040 labor hours!!
You're all shocked I know, and I'd like to tell you all of my secrets but I don't want any one else to steel them
With that absurdly low fee, I still make a rather nice tidy rate of .49c per lbr hr!!
Please call for appts as early ass possible due to the expected rush from this low introductry price!!
    Call "I'm a freagin idiot" at OIC-U812
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

    Smile Well-----------

I charge evey one else more, but since you guys are all such good friends
And Scott, I know you're right with me brother. When I bought material, I bought 2 gals of resin and thought that would be plenty
After four more trips to pick up 2 more gallons each trip, I'm close!
I think, also like you, I'm trying to do it in a garage.
It's a freakin auto shop one day, dog kenel the next, a paint shop next, etc, etc!
Here is as far as I got this weekend before the weather turned back to ****.

    so soon???

gator, how you get that far in such short time? mikes viking has been in shop 18 months now and he is down to patching small holes less than 2 inch in dia. then go over again for 1/2 in holes and then well you know you been there just as long.
our vector project was just like like yours to the glass it is not as far though, i will never use balsa core after this or west system. it may be good material but it is so thick when less then 70 % it is hard to work.
but we will win this fight.
what you plan for the bottom? i know this is touchey subject with as many opinions as butts, but whats in store for the rude?

    Thumbs up Thanx guys!

    Very, very tedious, testing job!!
    Lloyd, cool! Post some pictures.
Our weather is supposed to break again in the next few days.
Still shooting to spray by mid week.
Danny, yeah I know what you mean on all acounts! I used Epoxy on my last project (Sonic) and it is far superior in strength but also 5 times the price!
I am very confident in the additional strength that my additional stringers/knees give that I chose not to use Epoxy on this one.
I am looking at adding some more to it and when my buddy "Yammer" was down a couple of weeks ago, he laughed at me!! Thinks I'm going a little over board.
Course he does'nt have all that extra OMC power to worry about
Yeah, the hook stays. For now?
It don't look right but, too may people say otherwise. The boat racer in me says, "what, are you nuts?"
    We'll see.
Brad Collins was over and took a look at it, and lets just say, he was quite amused!
And the motor project is coming along as well. I just Tee'd off of my compressor in the basemant so I could set up a bit of a motor shop in the corner so I can work down there when it's too nasty outside for boat work.
Semi bummed that I found out that the dyno I have access too is not realy good enough to be able to measure any tuning changes I make.
    I am going off of Stokers guestimate/experience of 320 - 330 @ 8400.
Only parts I need for the motor are the fuel pump/regulator, I have evrything else. (including paint)
Rigging the boat for side steer/seating with a moveable drivers seat. (to center)
Going after big end only (still). Will play with some itty bitty wheels just to chase/play with the Merc guys that can't stay together longer than a quarter mile though
Oh yeah and NUT, hell you guys in Fla don't need a freakin garage, it's always 82* and sunny!

    Cool My Vector....

Doesn't need your recore job, but at that price, might bring it on over anyway.

I'm looking at the projectS, and my new mantra is, "One at a time, One at a time"....

SOOOOOO, that's the hook everyone is screaming about. Shoot I have one and haven't looked! Makes sense to keep the bow down, esp. w/ as much weight as we are putting on the back.

Hey, Gator, at 150% of stock, what do you think that will put you speed wise? I didn't know that you wanted to spin it to 8400.

Ever thought about a removable windshield? Might save 1-2 mph, ugly as crap w/o it though. Had to run my V-King for 1/2 of a summer w/o a shield. HATED IT. About ruined the fun in boating. The other day I came across some pics of it. Hurts looking at it more that the scars on my hand when the thing broke.
    Sea ya, Sleekster

    Cool Sleek

    Speeds @ 8400??
Depends on how much pitch I can spin.
But on a calculator, lets just say, it's very, very fast!
On the winshield, thats the only way I will own/run a Stream.
Told several people, if it's slower or I have to drive it different then that's just something that has to happen.
Looked at a bunch of em for sale w/o them, and I hate that look!
Very much a part of the "Classic" Stream lines that I love.
I know there's a lot of people out there that have very strong opinions about removing them for extreme speeds butttt----
I look for examples of them working with them.
    How about "T-Man's" @ 110 with one??
    That's good enough for me!
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

    Gotta agree on the windshield

I considered running the Baja w/o one after I broke my new one, but I want the original look. The new one will be shorter though, and much darker. Man I hate the thoughts of having to make another one. Nerve racking job, will it break during the heating/bending process x2, then will it break putting it into the frame, will it break bolting it back in, will it break once it's in the watter with some stress on it and on and on.

Good lookin hull ya got. I sure remember mine upside down in the garage. No hook at all in the Baja, just the opposite, I forget what thats called.

Lookin foreward to seein it in person!! Looks like we'll be ready for the Rumble, I was worried it might not be done, but all looks good!

    All our best!
