Do the finger ports help to get the intake air in motion, or is it to get anouther place to pull more fuel in?

I have a 70 Yamaha 2 stroke , I put 90 carbs , hydrotec head , 155 main jets , I still have 2.33 gears , what are my options to run taller gears ? Thanks for any input

Yes, I heard the 2.0:1 gears from the 90hp will fit in the 70hp case. Not 100% sure though.
Also, there are the small lowers like the one that came with the 70CES and some other Yamaha motors.
