We have an update, with an article. Video is coming next week. We've made some progress, started rigging.
Article: https://www.wavetowave.com/home/2019...k-plate-gauges
The seat in the photo is just for test fitting, not the seat we are using.
Finney's wind deflectors should work well.

We are going with a 6" Hyraulic plate from SeaStar. It's their Gen 2 plate. The G2 has about 6" of additional setback because of the steering system built in to the swivel bracket.
The Evinrude 250 HO model we have weighs 537 Lbs, with steering, so without the steering it's actually about 500 Lbs. That's one of the lighter 250 HPs on the market when you crunch the numbers in real world weight.

Nice boat and nice engine. I would think long and hard before making the decision to run to fl with it. There's a lot of "inside running" but you have to go out in the atlantic sooner or later and it might not be fun....

No official weight yet, but Mark thinks it might be heavier than the original. We added reinforcements, and full front floor and bulkheads. When I towed it a couple months ago, it did "feel" heavy on the trailer, but it's hard to tell. It won't be the fastest, but should be a good rough water boat. Hopefully the little Evinrude can plane it out.

***I appreciate that. But someone who has since passed on once said, "Not here for a long time, here for a good time." *** Ahh, I see. You were not serious about it... Just kidding around..
