I was taught at an early age that the open end of the wrist ( gudgeon ) pin circlip goes either "up" or "down" ... Does that mean on one of these sideways things that it goes at 90 degree's .. ???

They don't tell me what they do with them .. but the address I delivered them to was an abandoned "test center" building in Stuart Fla. 911 Ralph E. Ficht St. and Targa ave.

Butt welding thin wall tubing all day .. fun, fun, fun ..

Slant six ... LMAO .. POWER .. that was outstanding

I forgot which way they fell over .. so either 11 or 1 O-Clock ..

Perhaps resident Chrysler engineer FuMP will say many words and tell us nothing about the subject in the following video ...

and wouldn’t you agree the smaller the engine the easier it is to do?

100% especially with the packging contraints of an outboard and the engines i mentioned are consumer based or at least dimensions are.
Look at 350 and 500cc 2 cyl race outboatds, they are 200hp...

There are probably 50 cars over there from the beginning of ( Porsche) time to 962's that live in the top floor of semi-trailers. And newer stuff that I have no idea what it is, to be honest. Nor do I look outside of my blinders when I go inside of their fence.

    Some older stuff :
Welded up plug holes, plug moved over and second plug added. Guide ramps , floors raised , everything that moves gets lightened , coated , cryo , DLC , never heard of next day Saturday air till I worked for these guys .. 2hp / inch .. ahh yeaaa

Pipes alone I've given them 18 HP over what they had before. I made the mistake of telling them the other day I had a couple new idea's on flanges and where the first step needs to be ... their answer as always , you have the credit card number !

We aint takin one at a time either ...

    Late model 997 ...

Chaz, want to throw a curve into this thread. Would there be any upside to doing R&D on the sub 500Lb 3.4 L V6 4 stroke?

Is it really under 500lbs? Let’s assume the difference is 35lbs as claimed by the published weights, that’s 7.5% weight increase for a 33% displacement difference. The V8 comes with the larger throttle body and shorter intake runners that are needed for more power at higher rpms. The tune on the 175hp is bumping from the stock 185hp to the 225hp model which makes exactly as advertised at 6k rpm, the 225hp Pro XS V8 which runs the long runner intake and smaller throttle body as well actually makes 245hp at 4500rpm for reference according to the carb reports.
