The other day it was time to really start the reassembling process. All parts were examined, refreshed or exchanged with new ones.
Everything went well until the last piston/rod...
This is not what you expect when opening NIB stuff
So disturbing, especially since I have order the parts from the other side of the Atlantic!

Not uncommon with needle bearings and their cages. I just push it in just like it was assembled in the first place.

Give ProMarine a call, they'd probably mail you a new bag.

Captain, I'm sure you thought of that already. Bet they'd like to know. I lost a roller out of a new bag a few weeks ago, turned everything upside down no luck. It must have went into orbit, just gone.

Hello again!
I decided to change the cranks lower ball bearing aswell while everything else is being replaced.
What kind of tolerance is needed? The parts lists I’ve found doesn’t say.
The bearing I removed was a 6308 C3 bearing. The question is wheather to use a bearing with a normal amount of play or if the C3 with added play is needed??
appreciate your replies!

Don't go tighter, it will be too tight when hot , guys that rebuild pressed cranks told me they used c4 fit and have seen longer life.
