To win the overall you have to run the number...you cannot break out, speed limit is 110.999mph. If you can limit it at 110.5mph and have the power and balls to lay that down through any kind of water, you've got it.

It will be a good trick. Good luck.

All I can say - congratulations to those who participated - im sure allot of hard work and some great memories . I wish I were closer and could at least be a spectator. How about posting a bunch of those hulls and crews together .About a month ago I had a conversation with ScottNolind and he was very informative and i believe a legend , I believe he has a good bit of tech surrounding him as well in the circle of friends developed , anyway I look forward to seeing just how you guys build this stuff up to endure the punishment . Thanks for shareing the experience .

Bobby, if I got a 380 together to run in the 2L class, would you be interested in co-driving? Asking for a friend

Man I`m flattered but I`m also 65, Fat and out of shape LOL. My mind says hell yea but my body disagrees. I`m afraid I couldn`t do you a good job. I drove T-Rex`s little 16ft Laser with my drag motor on it at the winter nats about 5 years ago and after 6 passes I was give out. I still have my 380 (The Bull) and have toyed with the idea of doing the 2.0L class with my son driving lead and maybe me doing second and him finishing. I don`t know if that itch will ever be scratched but I still have it anyway. Thanks for asking tho. It means a lot.

If ya`ll go I would be glad to help out in any way I can. I think we plan on being there on the Wednesday before the race.

Can't stop father time but you got 12 months to get back to your fightin weight. One of our COR founders finished the race a few years back taking the checkered in his HST with a 2L in his 80's. If you can make it through the first leg without breaking something, the second and third legs get easier with attrition rate. The 3rd leg is like making a long run to your favorite fishing hole but your ears get big because your listening for any sound or change your boat is making, hoping it holds together. I run the old push/pull steering because of the feed back I get. Finding a prop that wont melt your arms and carries your boat and has good bite helps.
Let the young fellas run the first 2 legs and you can kick her on home on the 3rd. 79 to 82mph would probably put you in the top 3 for the 2L class and maybe a top ten finisher

All these low weight Drag race classes are keeping those drivers thin

He and I actually had a plan to make it out there a few years ago. I don`t remember what happened but we had to cancel out.

Mr Baker, I am on a diet since they informed me that I`m now a Diabetic. Kudo`s to the COR racer at his age. That's certainly a triumph. The HST is a good boat for marathon racing. I used to own one. It didn`t run until the water got rough.

Glad to hear you identified your diabetes in the early stage and it can be controlled by diet. Diet along with exercise "Boat Racing" is good for the heart, body and mind.

LOL, Where in the heck did you find these pics? Louis on the right, Brad on the left then yours truly. First gen Mirage Jag. I believe that was Havasu 1987. Boat would haul ass. Louis put a special fast cleaver on and said go for it. We ran second behind Alan before the fuel tank split with 15min to go. I still have that video and watch it sometimes. That was REAL racing just like ya`ll do at Parker.

Second pic is the second gen Mirage. First boat out of the mold and first time in the water. All stock Yammi 225 Excel w/nose cone. Talk about fast, 107 in this pic tasting in January. Louis told me "If you flip your on your own". Talk about nervous. Water was cold.

Your correct about the diabetes. I`m doing my best to keep it under control.
