What is the leaderboard currently looking like? I have the original tuff 21 prototype, it's running surfaces are the same as the original linder design (unlike the newer ones). It runs 95 with a 29 promax and a stock 300xs.
    1989 21' Skater - twin 2.5s
    1986 Cougar 21MTR, 15" 300XS - sold
    2002 TUFF 21 (#0.1), 300xs - sold
    1986 Valero YT, 225 Promax - sold
    1987 Viper, 140 cross flow - sold

Have you just recently obtained this boat? What gear ratio 1.75?

I got the boat in the fall, it had been in dry storage for a few years from what I gather. Very soild and clean boat, I've spoke to Mark the owner of TUFF marine about it a few times and it was the boat featured in either the '02 or '03 Toronto Boat Show in their booth along with it's sister which is black in colour. I'm told the old owner had it doing 85. I added another 4" of setback (10" total) and it runs 92 with a 28 bravo xs and 95 with a 29" promax. The boat has no notch and from what ive been told is over built / a bit heavy. Gears are 1.62

New speeds normally come in around the 4th of July. The Tuff you have is #1 build as a 2003?

I can't recall if it's an '02 or an '03 per say. I can tell you that it's not exactly what you'd today call a TUFF 21. That boat (TUFF #001) would have been made after this boat. Consider this the genetic link / protoype between linder (Challenger, super boat, shadow) and TUFF, with this hull profile being that of linder. Ive got all this written down with photos somewhere

from when it was first made. I'm thinking it would be worth starting it's own thread for those interested in the history instead of hijacking this one.

Is this your boat? Blue 21 Challenger. Here's the black one too. I think the story is they are restored Challengers meant to test the market.

Nice, looks great. If the story is right, that one is a late 80s Scorpion, a Challenger splash. The black one was an original Challenger. (That was from a Challenger history thread). Looks like it was restored really well. Great score.

Restored, black one is a Challenger, Blue one is a Scorpion. Referenced from an old thread about Challengers history.
