I’m going to do an ego thread too.
My target is 50 views
I’ve been watching/waiting Lars.
People can call it what ever they want.
First 1 million view thread and now, first, and ONLY 2 million view thread!
Well done sir.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Thanks everybody..
This is how it started 50 years ago..My first top five finish in Nora, Sweden early 1972. (Step one in my dream came thru)
Step 2 - in my dream was being a successful boat racer and win International races.
Step 3 - was starting my own Evinrude dealership.
Step 4 - living in America..!!
We can all do it if you stay focus and dream big.

More from Nora, Sweden 1972.
SE class boat racing from Nora, Sweden June 1972.
This was my second circuit boat racing experience using my E-152 E class Piraya 16/Evinrude 65 Offshore-boat. Thanks to Mia Carelius and Bo Nilsson for pictures and result. Remember I got picked for this race by the Swedish Powerboat Federation and that means pretty good traveling money. Back then Nora was big in boat racing. A small town next to a beautiful lake. As always we raced four heat races and three of them counts. (You could take one out) Dont remember much from the race but I ended up fourth and was very proud .

Here is the OMC Performance Group (OPG) consumer catalog, after it was renamed from Second Effort Performance.
I think this was 1991, may have been 1990.

We lost Guido in Milano late 1982.
R.I.P. my friend
I think the first picture is from Leon, Spain 1982.
Thanks Simone Scotti.

Cathy McConnell
My Francois story………
At the 1983 Pittsburg race, Jimbo’s pit was the furthest from the fuel. During testing our crew members were having to carry the cans too far. Not acceptable. We went down to a Sears store and bought a little red wagon to carry the cans. We even decorated it with stickers to make it official and put a little musical horn on it with a flag. I told EVERYONE in our pits that the wagon was NOT to leave our pits with anyone other than our crew……. It was to be available whenever they needed it. Francois was pitted by us…….far from the fuel. On race day, Francois came to our pits and ask to borrow the wagon. The crew told him to “talk to Cathy”.
He came over to me and said, “Please…….may I borrow the little red wagon”? In a beautiful French accent. Now looking at this handsome and polite fellow, of course I said “Yes”. As he walked away pulling the wagon, I turned around and everyone in our crew was looking……. And began mocking me. I had broke my own rule of the Wagon. It continued throughout the race with them imitating Francois when they were ready to take the little red wagon somewhere. A handsome and polite gentleman will always melt my heart.
RIP
