Chrysler came out with a CD ignition box in 1967 but it still used points as the sensor to trigger the spark. They didnt go to full "pointless" ignition system till 1974.

They continued to se a distributor without points until 1977 when thet came out with the first solid state , all under the flywheel ingnition system on the 2 cylinder 60 hp. After that all the other nodels followed suit within a year or two.

I thought so... the old man had it first and then sold it to GM down the road. Please correct me if thats wrong. Gary

    Bad ass!
    Definately not your grandpa's Chrysler.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

THATS A trick Chizzler. Everything about that setup is unique. Gear-cases, mid sections, No stacks just deflector bounce plates. Fuel injections. Excellent.
