PS . I’ve found another avenue for AR builds is Bear Creek Arsenals they have quality uppers and complete rifles and get 5 star reviews from customers who have bought from them , I have an upper from Bear Creek that’s married to a PSA lower with good trigger that going to my son in law for CHRISTmas

I just picked up a complete 6.5 Grendel upper myself from BCA and the quality looks good. Testing will begin as soon as my magazine arrives. Jay has been my Grendel guru.

I’m excited just finally got my Caldwell AR 15 barrel cooler ordered after Midway dropped the ball on the order a month ago ... It’s a fan that fits inside the mag well and blows cool air through the breach and down the barrel supposed cooling it down twice as fast as just opening the breach and just letting it cool after multi rounds shot through the rifle , I’ll get back after I try it ....

Does anyone have any experience with light weight Ti parts? How do they hold up? Thinking about building an ultra light 300 BO.
Barrel cooler? I never really worried about that unless I was shooting hot loads through my 22 Swift. I am interested in the reason though. A bunch of rounds with hot ammo?

Next time I go to the range im taking Caldwell barrel cooling fan and temp gun I’m gonna cycle 5 rounds through my AR 15 6.5 Grendel measure max temp with temp gun then install Caldwell until cools to ambient temp record time it took to return to ambient temp then run same 5 and see how long it takes to cool with no help back to ambient, both my AR 6.5 Grendel barrels gets smoking hot that could effect grouping , this tool must be popular Midway sold out , read post # 66

Glad you like than new Bear Creek upper 6.5 Grendel Joe , I knew that heavier 4.2 oz buffer was gonna be the ticket for the non adjustable gas block models ...

Finally able to get it to the range today and it ran flawlessly. Now time to get the optics dialed in.

Ive never personally bought a complete AR from anyone. I have purchased parts from PSA and they have Quality components. As do other companies. I always buy my parts and Machine my own lowers. I have built the AR in just about every platform configuration one can think of. From the Pre Banned M16 A2 to flat tops from 20" all the way down to 7.5" in 300 BO pistol form. But My last Custom AR build is a AR410 Custom camoed by yours truly in ceramic firearm coatings. Pop up mechanical sights as well as a Holographic rectical sight, Hyperfire 2.5 lb pull firing group M16 BCG and Hogue Grip. pictured.
