    Tony,
Why is everything so messy. I would have expected better from you. I think the motors are crooked. Did you use a laser to mount them?

Seriously though....another amazing job. You are a perfectionist and every aspect of that boat shows it. I am very impressed. I have seen alot of your work but I think you've outdone yourself on this one. Cannot wait to see it with the 15" mids. Very nice my friend!!!!

When are you taking me for a ride?

    Thanks guys!
Here is what it looks like at the moment for those that have asked and been following this thread or considering doing something similar.
I have reversed the brackets to get motors closer to the transom since I will be achieving the additional 2" with the 15" saddle brackets.
Waiting on some parts from mother Merc, new brackets I fabricated in order to completely marry both Bob's setback brackets so they will function as one in order to minimize any flexing, they are being PCoated, 15" cans and 1pc adapter plates to come back from paint shop so I can assemble things.

This is how I made both center brackets one and still have the adjustment.

A little progress in putting things back together. OEM 15" saddle brackets redone, painted and on perch. These saddle are a bit heavier.... New bracketing to make setback plates function as one also installed!
Having Chaz fabricating me some custom lighter stuff.....

The mini 280 tuner made for the SS 225PM, nice piece!

    Thank you!
No they do not come that way but something many have done/doing.
I personally have been doing it for years on all my tuners to HOPEFULLY keep them on the plate...
I got the idea from Marty and Joe @ Diamond Marine many years ago.

I sure hope so!... They where actually only made for the SS 15" 225 ProMax's so I thought they would be a perfect fit for my new setup now....

    A couple more!
While the power heads were off also decided to swap out the 40amp for 16amp system and light weight flywheel. Also trimmed the heads a bit, so it should be that much more fun.

Oval plates with SS 225PM tuners.

    Freshly painted cans and plates.
