After my motor guy and friend Eddie Young at young performance built my 588 big block and ran it on the dyno .He insisted we install it back in the boat at his shop and run then retune it in the lake so to check it all out . Its just so no stone gets overlooked and have another problem soon after . I like that attention to detail and his experience has certainly paid off. Jay is no different. He is and has always been a wealth of knowledge and a straight business man both personal and professional . If you do not like his way of doing business ,it's a free country and by all means look else where . You should consider calling Jay and talking with him to work this out . You will not be sorry letting him repair your mercury engine. hf...

Ill just say one more thing. Jay has helped more people with how to over the phone and on hear than most of us have post counts!! He is a stand up guy always willing to help a guy out if they are trying to do something there not sure about. He has helped me immensely and is why I have a JSRE sticker on my boat. lol that and it looks cool and have bought a dial indicator thats sweet and cut heads that are also sweet, very sweet accually Living in the middle of no were makes shipping and getting work done expensive and difficult for me. I have learned enough to take on small jobs i never would have thought i could do because of his advise. thank-you Jay for your patients with my questions! Stand up guy all the way!! Theres also many others on hear that do the same. Thats why Scream and Fly rocks like the great people on hear!

What I love most about this post is that the tough 'new guy' bashes Jay, and then won't type any response to all the other things that have been written. . . . anyone home? Or has the point been made. . . . haha. . . good humor, where is my coffee??

After working in the repair business for over 50 years, I just have 1 thing to say.......I learned that anytime a person of Chuck's nature called me, I was too busy to work on his stuff!!!!
Sorry, but I'm entitled to my opinion!Last edited by WillySteve; 06-19-2017 at 08:54 PM.

Jay is about as straight up as a person could be!
This newbie sure shows a lot of class by slamming him on here, guess it backfired on him. I'll bet he was was disappointed in November too, sounds like a snowflake to me, lol.
Good luck getting anyone to work on your motor now.
Personally I think you are too stupid to be out on the water anyways.SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKYS, KINDA BORING BUT STILL FUN TO WATCH IF YOU PUSH THEM DOWN THE STAIRS
