[QUOTE=FUJIMO;3174586]...My neighbor's little restored Toyota pickup truck's vanity license plate reads "Chalks". He was a longtime Chalk's pilot there on Government Cut. Small world.[/QUOTE)

that is now city hall for Miami, Cocoa Nut Grove surrounded by the marina, Pan Am Clippers. Chalks came long after and flew off the causeway across from Dodge island ( cruiseship terminal ) aka "Government Cut"

RETRACTION ,,, that is Chalks on the island "Sonny Crockett" lived on his sailboat with his pet alligator but I don't belive they ever flew to cuba, that was Pan Am Clippers out of cocoa nut grove in the 50's

Chaz, no mention of the Forge, Benihanna, Mike Gorden's, butIdid write down Fox's Sherron Inn,meloves me some Prime Rib . and FYI coming from BBQ territory Shorty's ribs are not very ,,, as we say, flavorful. I like them where you don't need sauce. we're planning on going down after Christmas and poking around, whats the big Mega buffet in coral gables, think it's at some sort of a club type atmosphere?

I can't believe that my dad and uncle would fib to my mom and aunt about their little trips to the island ...

I have a couple places that I can park my motorhome and boat in Homestead and a spot in Key Largo to do the same .. One place in Homestead (redlands), I usually find myself spend more time workin on building wheel-buggies and airboats than I do on vacation ...

Best ribs in Florida (other than Monty's) are @ Shivers BBQ. SW 280 st and US-1 ..

Yep .. they have been there this long ... check the cars in the parking lot ...
