I been up in a couple biplanes, airstream tubing, little baby cable's, rib profile showing thru the "skin" .. I was young and foolish back then ..
I did tell the guru, man letz put some carbon fiber "pants" on one, aluminum #6 dzus buttons with buck riveted doubler plates .. anodized of course ..
OK Fugimotosan .. I know the rule .. not a talkie tread .. So I'll add a pit-cher ..
Bolt on 2.5 semi-airstream wing plates ..

Yep, nitro is a he11 of a drug ..
Wing plates .. err .. string steering arms. 2.8 lbs total.
"Carbon Pants" Much like Garlets mono-wing (a covering). Except you would take the lower unit off and pull the cover up like a pair of pants.
Once in place .. you should look in the mounting holes and see just the spring bridging the hole.
Stick the 1/4 turn button in the hole .. click, locked in place.
When mounting fiberglass of carbon, it's a good idea to use "panel doubler" plates to keep from wallerin out the holes ..
Since everybody is flush, up against each other a hammer (bucking) rivet will smoosh flat taking up little to no room ..
Of course you hold everything in place with Cleco's until your ready to start riveting ..
Ya use these simple little pliers to install / remove them ..

What ? 3.0
I responded to H2O about numerous subjects. Mostly aircraft/airframe components.
Post 3288 The funster "axed" .. what ?
I think I went back and covered every bit he had highlighted ..
What 2.0 , I don't get the leap to Fuelers... I didn't mention fuelers ..
However I'll bet you'll find a dzus button or two on both cars and boats ..
What 3.0 .. and beyond ..
Pit-cherZ alone just doesn't do CH3NO2 justice ... I just love it when they put it on the high side (second pump) and the motor quits choppin and goes 'hollow". You know they are gonna seat the clutch right after that .. LOL
There was a picture in Hot-rod or car Craft back in the late 80's, maybe early 90's of everybody scrambling from the "yellow wave" wafting towards them, except for a kid in an old twin canister respirator / goggles mask. He stood there like, I ain't skeerd, and I aint missin a second of this .. a hero of mine since .. I wish I could find the pit-cher ..
