There is a guy named Ray Roach on Bass Boat Central. He sells a lot of parts. He might have a good used one.

We priced a SEI, they are about $895 now but Id rather sell this lower back to the guy it came from (we paid $350) and put that $895 towards a new motor without these issues and we'd atleast know what the motor is that we have lol.

Once this rain stops I'm gonna go unhook the boat from my truck and go get the paperwork from the power head work, maybe it will tell us something!!

Is this the same setup we originally had Before the power head was replaced? & Trent after talking to Brad is there any of these parts we could use that I should ask him about?

If you can truly determine it is a promax and you can get it fixed and it has good compression. It would worth around $3500 with now lower. IMO

I wouldn't spend another dime on parts for that motor until you figure out what is wrong with it. It could be many things or just one thing. Like Nitro said earlier, one problem at a time. Hopefully the bullet guy you mentioned yesterday will look at it for you.

I am hoping brad can get ahold of the guy today and he can come by this wknd to take a look at it and tell us what he thinks. I'd rather sell it as is if we decided to sell it rather than put more time and money into it. Somebody that knows more about it would be better off with it because nobody around here is any help with it! & not knowing exactly what is on it makes it hard to sell. If we knew as much about it as yall did I'd be more than willing to fix it and keep it but the way it sounds we just have a piece of junk!!

One mechanic tells us the compression is great and that the cylinders are all good and the other mechanic says compression is all over and that it needs a rebuild.... neither have said anything close to the same thing!

I put a shout out on Bass Boat Central to try and find someone close to you. I would say most people are busy during the week and haven't seen this post. Im sure somebody will respond this weekend. Holy smokes!!! you live in TN. That's where all of the best bass boats are made.

I tried to register with BBC but it keeps denying me, I have no clue why! We have a great boat and I love it but now we just need a good running motor to go with it!
