I feel that if a 24 ft boat with a single outboard wants to come to the party and smoke all the smaller boats with the same power. We should give credit where credit is due and put it on the list.

............
I've been pretty good about getting info together over the years for this thread on SOB's. Gives us something to do in the Winter. When the OP guy started this thread some people would call the Tuff 21 a "Unicorn", just read the first page. If Tuff's newer 25 footer (love the boat btw) comes into the fracas then you'd have to let this one pictured below also play in the rough water sandbox. It has run both 300XS and 300R power. If you add it ............. then you will likely need to add several other 25s. Seems like a good "new thread" project for someone, just not me.

2020 Bernico F1 interior shots. 23' of fast luxury. Initially single or twin 300XS, or 400R, the model adjusted for the big Mercury V8 stampede.
The design of the Xtreme contains a great deal of know-how from twenty years of experience. It took almost a year and a half to finish the first model, starting from the drawing table and a barrel of polyester, so to speak. "Our new models are designed using computers with CAD-CAM software and integrated with modern and ergonomic design ideas," explains Nico Bertels. “These ideas came from previous successes and were improved with the help of new materials and techniques. During the development of the model, testing was carried out continuously by testing the design against computer programs with aerodynamics but also 'fluid dynamics'. This guarantees optimum performance. From then on we can go into production on order. Count on six to eight months. The customer chooses the engine (we recently even put 1350 hp in such a boat) and can dress the boat completely to your liking: everything happens 'in-house'. The boat is designed and built from A to Z. Only in this way can we continue to offer our high Bernico standard".

While they may not be the fastest on "The List" at 86mph, Nordic Boats USA continues to build some really high quality hulls. The Crossfire 21, shown in the first photo below, has been running in US waters since it was built in 2008. Other owners have also run both the 300XS and 300R V8 back to back on the race interior SR-21, shown in photos 2, 3, and 4, with the R running 3 mph faster speeds propped the same.
If Nordic ever decides to set the 21 up for the big top end number, many believe they would pick up 5-9 mph while still handling rough water with the steep bow deadrise. They also build a 20 footer but it has way less free board and is to short to make the cut.

But, proving you can't keep a good SOB down(under) ........... the Labsport 21 below will be roaming the same Western US waters as the Nordic, and looking to blast past its 2019 92 mph top speed this year.
