Getting my 1st 300R V8 this week.

What props are you going to try out? Also how is the break in on this engine? The owners manual says for the first two hours vary the rpm under 4500 and then WOT every 10 minutes for one minutes. I can't imagine running WOT for a solid minute with a fast prop.

I just had a customer that ordered a New 22 Liberator with a 300xs call and change to a 300R. I just ordered two more!

holly crap that motor sounds like a race car motor!!!!!!awesome . I don't think there are going to make these motors in the quantity to meet the demand. As soon as there are more clips like that and performance figures out every 300xs motor guy out there will want to switch! So cool that growl coming from an outboard wow!

Sorry to redirect but do you guys know the difference between the 300 Pro XS V8 and the 300R? For example, if you went with the torquemaster lower unit on both the 300 Pro XS and the 300R would the main difference be the ECU or are there significant mechanical differences? Surely the 300R would be the faster motor? I'm looking at putting one on a bass boat.
