It was SOOO tender to the touch that i couldnt wear have sheets or covers on it at bed time. Un bearable to put my work boots on but once on it was ok because the steel toe kept the side of the shoe off it.

I made the mistake of going to the Dr. for ingrown toenail twice. Both times it started to ingrow again. Luckily someone told me about the cotton ball trick but now I just lift the nail a bit every day until it grows out enough.
Well, then, you just might benefit from this tool Dave ;-)

Sorry if I came across like I was attacking you. I should have put an emoji showing I was just messing with you. My hat is off to you having the nads to yank a toe nail off.

I understand about work boots and ingrown nails. It sucks big time. I worked on my feet, in work boots and steel toed boots, for over 20 years.

Iv had on both my big toes and been to the dr several times and all he ever did was stick a maranade injector needle in the tip of my toe to numb it and then cut the sides of the toe nail off. Every time it grew back and into the meat of the toe. So do as i did and get pliers and go agaid and have a few drinks while the whole foot is soaking in ebson salt water till it is very soft and the skin is easy and white and all wrinkled up good and pull that some bitch out root and all. Yes i did it and heres proof that it aint hurttn no more! Maintenance free toe rite here for over 15 years.
