Back in the day I used to race go-karts and to somewhat solve fuel cheating they made us do what's called pump around where everyone had to line up when you were going out for a heat or a main race and they sucked all the fuel out of you tank and it all got mixed up with everyone else's and then pumped back in it was kinda crazy but it did make sure everyone had the same fuel but there were those that somehow took a condom and put nitromethane in it and somehow put it in the tank where it didn't get sucked up or either put it in their pocket and dropped it in the tank after pump around and it would bust and man you could tell the difference after it burst because their head pipe would glow red and the motor had a whole different sound to it. Many got caught because the top 3 got torn down in tech and fuel checked if there was any left lol

On that note, I remember a guy getting caught with a system that pumped water in and out of his boat, fill it up to weigh, pump out to race

Don't believe he ever raced again, I believe he was the guy you have to buy your fuel from at race site, 20 years ago, Paul and Jerry Freeman would remember, I liked working the starting barge with Jerry, never a dull moment.

You dont race boats, you race a rule book

I took a liberty there and substituted boat for cars. Smokey Yunick quote iirc. Another gooder is theres two types of racers: cheaters, and losers.

back in the ModVP days Mike Quindazzi ran a 380 Laser, he had a "fuel" tank up front that was connected to a pitot tube, he'd let it fill with a valve to put balast up front. Never heard of him using it for making post race weight but wouldn't be shocking at all.

MVP had no weight in the 80's that's why I ordered a 400 lb. boat after I found out that's what Kim Howard ran, he was the Sleekcraft factory driver and current champ.

You would have to call Paul or Jerry Freeman,

I believe he was part of the old Tenn. drag boat group that joined ODBA

He sold the fuel at the races from what I can remember.
