I managed to scare up a 9.5/10 lab'd 28 Hoss Triton after digging through some of your posts. It took forever to find and i hope it runs as good as it looks
I have never ever been disappointed by a Hoss propeller. This same set up with a 28 chopper is undrivable past 90. I run a 29 and a 31.

The promax box is going to be too rich, especially with a 5 petal front. The 88's in this motor are too much it starts to blubber at 7200 on a normal day, air temp was 34 today..and snow... we had a 27 Reggie out today with a freshy and it loved it.

Barry bring that thing up here next year and run it. We have one of the best kept secrets in the midwest to run.

Had a Bridgeport/Vector combo bitd, she would run right at 104 of the speedo, pre gps days, two jack plates, one hydraulic, one manual and a 30p 3 blade Hoss Triton? I also ran a 15 x 30P cleaver, got out of the hole better than the Hoss but the had it on the big end! My BP did have the A-13 box.

Get yourself some ear plugs and gas card......your gonna need them!

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

91 I'm guessing, just before the 2.5's came out. We did used to race a yellow sea plane that would land on the bay once in while, thing would only go about 80, but it was a cool thing to talk about. I did have a Stars and Stripes Viper, had one of the last inline 6's on it, two jack plates.....same ones as the Vector. Used to run a 26" chopper with that engine, best part of that boat was racing bass boats with V-6's and beating them. They would run in the 60's back then and here I come with a 115hp passing them up out on Berlin. Could run all day with that engine and two 6 gallon portable tanks. That was a fun boat.

We thought we were bad a$$e$ until we went to Norris lake and ran into a Vector with a Mod-VP, he was in the teens when that was unheard of. He ran by me and Kev, guy with the V-8 Vegas, like we were standing still.

Franken OMC was no slouch either Gator!

I have spent many years running Streams and Skaters, If you have any questions about set up, between me and gator, I'm sure we have the answer.
