I agree.
But if youre really weekending on the boat, that cabin is huge.
I remember when I was at them, I compared them and the 24 XL has a bigger cabin than the 27'.
Similar to my old 24' Sonic compared to my current 25' Checkmate Convincor.
The Convincor is a way prettier boat but the Sonics cabin is twice its size.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I can't argue with you, you make valid points for sure.
I don't think that the 24LD cabin was too bad considering the boats size, but you certainly didn't have much head room down there. Fine for a single guy crashing in the boat, but my wife is too claustrophobic. We're boat shopping now and she'll barely look at anything smaller than a 27-29 because of the cabin and cockpit sizes of the 24x7's and 24x8 boats (which I'd prefer for storage, trailering, and ease of use)
On the flip side I'm not going to argue with her, I'm good with a bigger boat, and it's a lot more fun having her happy on the boat then potentially crabby lol.

I think the LDs cabins are as nice as anything in that market.
Its tough to find one w/a real cabin that runs.
I had a ‘89 20’ Stratos cuddy with I think 351 Ford V-8 and OMC outdrive.
Really nice lines, sun lounge interior, big cabin and ran good.
Very rare boat, never seen another one.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
