What year is your 3.5? The second generation does not have those issues. They should have never launched that 3.5 tturbo with those issues. Big fowl on Fords part imo. I dont blame you for your disappointment's in yours.

Yeah the catch can craze is everywhere though. Not just these engines. Hemi guys are doing it as well. Makes no sense to me to have to do this when it should already be addressed before selling mass production

I put a catch can on my stroked camaro pcv. Picks up oil before it goes into the intake. Catches a good amount of oil. IMO Good idea. I also put a catch can on my 5.0 coyote motor in my wife's truck. It traps very little oil. Still think it keeps the motor cleaner. IMO Good idea. We spend money for better tires, shocks, tunes, special oils etc. Are these not good ideas?

Yep ive seen the coyote owners doing it as well. I wont say they are not good ideas. It can only help. I just think the manufactures should have addressed it rather than having to install one on a new motor.

Seems like the triton v10s will keep running as long as you can afford to keep feeding them a steady diet of petrol!

Just checked the mpg on my f250 w/460 and 35'' tires.. A whopping 10.3 mpg. Recent tune up really helped. Was pulling 7.5.. Wifes new f150 truck gets a steady 17mpg w/5.0 motor. But she drives like a granny...

Put it up in the air and hang 35s on the F150 with the weight and you're not 17. That's still seems low for the 5.0, that's not highway is it?
