thank you Tony, plan to get up early again in the am, start packing up the valuables, meds, clothes, and put high as much furniture as possible. mom's place is about 15 mi inland, taking the semi there and first load of stuff, then come back and get the other pickup. moma says the cats have to go with us, may be a challenge with the one, she wants to stay, I'm saying no way. 100+mph wind is one thing, but 3-5' of water is a no go. we're the F outta here even if we have to go 20 mph up beach blvd.

thank you, we will, may wait a bit longer than they want us to but we only have to go 15 mi. 24 yrs in a home and asked to haul ass in 48 hrs and make preps is pretty daunting. art, clothing, paper records, electronics, machinery, food, pets, and do preventive prep on windows is one heck of a 2 days, oh,,, I forgot accuring provisions. Belive Me, I know what a major storm can do, went to my moms place in cutler ridge 3 days after Andrew, I would have never recognized the place if I did'n know the area real well. there was not a leaf in a tree, everything was bent one direction, looked like Heroshema. have a 17,500 lb vehicle i'll be moving inland with my "Hottie" in tow with our first bunch of junk to get inland. just worried how this teak furniture will fair. it's in the Lords Hands. Amen.

Had some nice waves on the lake from Matthew so I put the stand up jet ski in and was a blast, I almost feel like the news people were upset or wanted more destruction, glad it missed central Florida and Hope Georgia is as lucky.

Lost a couple of screens of the patio and a couple of tiles from the roof. No leaks so far and we'll call insurance the first of the week. Picture of my driveway showing surge half way up my drive. Still had about 5 feet to get in the house.
I carry a gun because a cop won't fit in my pocket.

herd today A1A south of St A is closed and impassable, particularally south of Fernandina, I can just imagine, the ocean there is right up next to the road. have no idea why the type has changed since I started this message. between Fernandina and Palm Coast you are feet from the dunes, I can see how it would have gone away, given what I've seen from Anistia island. fun out
