I think that's the most misleading thing about anything sold by Mercury today is actually WHO makes the stuff? The binnacle control for my V8 ProXs is made by a company in South Korea. A far cry from the MerControl of yesteryear. There probably was a time when Mercury made nearly everything in house. Boeing used to make everything in house from sheet metal to cabin interior panels. Massive wire harnesses too. Then it all got out-sourced putting the blame on labor and benefit costs? And you wonder why we have the post-Covid supply chain problems we have today? No surprise to me that NASA pulled the plug on the unmanned flight back to the moon! Boeing couldn't even get a valve to operate right on the new Starliner.
