Absolutely not. Bill Seebold was beyond helpful and excellent to deal with. You have to remember this was 1978 - no cell phones, no e-mail.
Every time I called Bill took the time to talk with me and I was well aware that the #286 may or may not be available and there was another less expensive SE hull that was available for sure
Absolutely no regrets with the hull I ended up with. Had plenty of fun in 1978 & 1979, made several good friends that I still have to this day and sold my boat, motor and trailer in 1980 for virtually what I had invested. SE was a great class back then, we often had 10 to 15 boats and I was very competitive once we got the set-up right. The person who bought my boat ran it for another few years and he also did very well with it.
