95 evinrude 200 porting
Ok guys the winter project is tore down planning on doing some exhaust porting trying to get around 250 horse out of it racer mentioned that I should make my exhaust ports the same size as an 89 225 but does anyone have suggestions on the shape and size that actually is and how I can make this happen. Ps I'm open to secrets on porting these motors.

Yes being careful to maintain the same angles.

-
That's a pretty sweet idea I have been trying to figure out how I'm going to make a template to transfer the 89 exhaust port to the 95 and also do I maintain the top edge or bottom edge of the exhaust port or spilt the difference this is my first time doing port work so the more guidance I can get the better thanks guys

Leave bottom edge alone. Piece of aluminum tubing slide inside a sleeve (sleeve out of engine) and marked then cut out can then be slide inside your 95 and used as a template.
-
So because the easiest rout for me to get a sleeve is just to buy one is this the correct one https://shop.tsmperformance.net/Cyli...ore-1025SA.htm

K guys I've been searching for someone with a sleeve and cant find one anywhere can anyone help me finding somewhere to get it. Thanks
-
U need get ahold wrechin 2 (James perry) makes his own
-
Advanced sleeve makes replacements with stock porting if you get an 88-92 that will have the exhaust port you want.
-
Thanks racer but just went and visited frank and he had a sleeve lieing around so I got one thanks tho

Ok guys got a template made and the exhaust ports ground out turned out realy good also smoothed out any of the casting marks in the intake slots in the crank case and also were the sleeves didnt match the motor is there anything else I should do while I have the motor ripped apart.

Add a small chamfer (spell?) To ports to help from a ring snag and actually help performance , acting like its opening little sooner, looking good tho

No. You want a small bevel on edge port, I'll try post a pic of mine if I can find it
