Which one is better for a tunnel hull? What are the advantages or disadvantages to each system? I'm from the bass sector making a cross over to the perforamance tunnel boat world. Any info would be greatly appricated.

Pulley cable system is the best,it is very quick and has saved my ass numerous times..
How come a lot of the racers are going to power hydraulic steering?
Pulley cables are the tightest system available, but if you have never installed the system don't do it alone. You need someone who has installed this kind of system. Duel cables I have seen run even the 120 + Stv in my shop now has duel cable but it's an old school set up. Hydraulic is the way to go,just make sure it is rigged correctly and bled correctly.

Dual-cable rack steering has good feel when it's set up correctly.
Front-ram hydraulic is easier to steer than cable, but not always super-tight feel-wise, and NO SAFER than dual-cable-rack steering, since it still relies upon a tiller arm.
Side-ram wingplate hydraulic steering is easy-steering and very safe, but also very expensive.
Cable/pulley/wingplate steering is super tight, safe, and simple.
