1977 Hydrostream Viper - Hull and Trailer ONLY

Due to a crazy set of circumstances, I am putting up my recently acquired Viper up for sale. The core was redone with Divinycell by the original owner. It was advertised here 2 years ago and has changed hands a couple times since. The boat is totally solid. It is not cosmetically perfect, no 39 year old boat is, but it is in excellent shape overall. The drivers seat bottom has been recovered, but all the rest of the interior is original. At one point there was a stereo and gauge in the dash that have been removed and covered. NO POWER or controls, hull and trailer only. Clear titles for both. Thanks - It's an original gel boat in very nice original condition, which is why I bought it in the first place. Nothing else I looked at was close.

3 different Hydrostream guys with way more experience than I have, all said it is worth having upon seeing it in person. Somebody will be getting a good boat.

Refresh - Still have it and I would be willing to trade for a motor. I am only interested in a Mercury 1500 XS and/or parts to piece together a XS or short shaft 150 Mercury inline 6. Anybody out there with 1500 XS motors/parts interested in a nice Viper?

So what do you think Jeff. I have a couple motors layin around. Maybe the 150xs. Do you know the boat?

Hello Mr. Rock -

No, Jeff has not seen my boat and we have only recently met here on the forum. I am familiar with you from all of your assistance you gave Jeff on his Viper rebuild thread.

So if you have interest in the boat I'd be glad to talk. I will confess to being a noob, and I hope the boat is what it think it is. There are a couple local HS guys who have seen it and were impressed. The XSkid1 has also seen it and his comment was "It is a beautiful boat".

I would love to figure out a way for you, or someone you trust, to see it.

To the top. I also have a low hour 1977 Johnson V4 with power trim listed in outboards for sale that could go with this viper.

I would like to add that I called 427Man ( Darrel) on Tuesday, sent the check on Wednesday and Frank Mole delivered the boat on Sunday! To put the frosting on the cake .... The boat is a 9 out of ten and better than I expected!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Darrel as you made this old man very happy! Gary
