no i sent the stock one out and had it chromed along with alot of other stuff, should be stunning.
hi bruster, no in from flint and mid mich fiberglass did the resto, they are in bay city
the boat is now going back together and will post sum pics as i get a little more done

GREAT looking Rocket! My dad bought one of these back in the 70's and have had it in the family ever since... It's the boat I learnd to ski behind.

hi jeff, very cool boat you have, would like to see more detailed pics of yours.
well its been a while, but had sum set backs, sent the rudder out to have it chromed and put rihgt on the shaft do not chrome, then put chrome this area only on the rudder, well they chromed it all and the shaft was .50 to big for the box, spent a week making a fixture to hold the rudder and then machine the shaft, when i got done with that it was not up to standards, started over cut off shaft and made a new one to press fit then tig welded and machined back down, this took a month of screwing around. got the rudder installed and made all the sterring mounting hardware, sterring is now complete,new wire harness made and installed, bildge hooked up, new battery tray installed, new fuel lines and new fillters in, installed motor and trans last night, should have a vid of it running soon,
